Makeup is always changing and evolving. I love learning new techniques and trends. Every time I open my Instagram, I see these new trends all over.
1. Strobing

Just when you think you've got highlighting and contouring down, everyone is strobing.
Strobing is different from contouring because no dark shades are used. This technique is used to highlight and brighten areas where the light naturally hits to create an illuminated complexion. Those areas include the tops of the cheekbones, the temples, center of the nose and on the cupid's bow.
By using the technique of strobing, it gives the face a very beautiful and natural dewy glow.

2. Baking

Baking? As in cooking? No, baking is a new makeup process to highlight and brighten the under-eye area.
This is an gorgeous makeup trend that if you have time and it's done right, will leave your under-eyes glowing! This technique can also be used on areas of your face where light naturally hits (forehead, bridge of nose, under the natural hollows of the cheek
Steps to Baking:
1. Eye Cream- This is the most important step to baking as this acts as the primer to the process
2. Apply full coverage and thick concealer and blend with a beauty blender or buffing brush
3. Add a second layer of concealer (optional)
4. Set with a translucent powder
5. Take a damp cosmetic wedge (damp with water or fix+) and dip it into a translucent powder
6. Apply and leave powder on featured areas for 5-10 minutes
7. Dust off excess powder

3. Liquid Lipsticks

Liquid lipsticks that go on liquid and dry matte- how genius? I'm all for matte lips, so this new trend has me splurging, I feel like I first saw these from Anastasia Beverly Hills. Each colour retails for $20 and can be pretty hard to get your hands on as they are almost always out of stock. Thankfully for all my frugal beauty enthusiasts, a few lines have come out with dupes!

4. Sepia
Anastasia's Beverly Hills new liquid lipsticks in Sepia is the new it colour. And for a good reason. Her new line of liquid lipsticks are absoltely gorgeous. One colour has caught my eye and it seems everytime I open my instagram, the lip colour Sepia is all over.
NYX's Slim Pencil in Nude Truffle and MAC's Velvet Teddy is a nice brown lip combo for those who can't get their hands on Sepia.
